Visionary Leadership
The Meyer Center has been the foremost leader in serving children with disabilities for seven decades. It began with the vision of educating children with cerebral palsy and has grown into what we know today.
The Meyer Center’s 70th anniversary will be celebrated throughout 2024. We aspire to recognize our long and vibrant history, re-engage past stakeholders, and engage new stakeholders that are passionate about our mission and wish to join us as we forge ahead into the next chapter of the Meyer Center.
Today, the future for children with disabilities is brighter than ever before as they experience more and more opportunities to be included in the community, secure gainful employment, and enjoy long-term independence.
Together, we will continue to lead the way for the next 70 years and beyond.
Shaping the Future
As our community grows, so does the need for our specialized services. Since 2019, we have increased our enrollment by 44% and maximized the use of all existing classroom and therapy spaces. Despite this, the demand continues to outpace our ability to serve all who need us. Our waiting list averages more than 60 children - who cannot afford to wait.
Meeting this need is a vision towards which we are vigorously working. In the near term, we plan to enhance and innovate current programs as we work to secure more space to achieve our long-term goals of serving more students.
Funding is a critical component in our ability to simultaneously sustain and expand services. We welcome your partnership as we grow into the future.
