1954 Club

No Gift Is Too Small

It all started over 60 years ago. Dr. Leslie Meyer recognized the value in every child, regardless of circumstances or disabilities or perceived limitations. He saw their potential, their promise. And more importantly, he acted. He founded the Meyer Center for Special Children. The year was 1954.
Today, the Meyer Center is a vital charity organization in Greenville. What began as a dream in Dr. Meyer’s heart has become an indispensable part of our community. We now serve more than 180 children in the Upstate, providing critical educational and therapeutic services to help children with disabilities reach their maximum potential.

We need your help. Without the generosity of individuals and companies in the Greenville ares, we cannot help these special children grow and develop. That’s why we have formed the Meyer Center 1954 Club – to honor and celebrate Dr. Meyer’s vision, and help us carry that vision into the future.
